How to Custom Emojis in Discord
You’ve probably seen that adorable little tongue bleep that your dog makes, right? We created custom emojis so that you may upload and use her face in addition to other personalized emotes on your Discord server.
Adding A Custom Emoji in Discord
Every server has the ability, by default, to add up to fifty user-defined emojis that are available for usage by all active members of the server. If a user is subscribed to Nitro, they will have access to all of Discord’s custom emojis and will be able to use them in any server or channel that supports the use of emojis.
How to upload custom emojis
- In order to upload custom emoji, you must either have access to the Manage Emoji permission or be the owner of the server.
- Launch the server to which you wish to add up to 50 unique emojis, go to “Server Options,” pick the “Emoji” tab, and then click the “Add Emoji” button!
Keep in mind:
- Emoji names need to be at least two characters long and can only contain alphabetic, numeric, or underscore characters.
- Emojis have to be smaller than 256KB.
Note: Any user who is an active member of a server is allowed to use all submitted custom emoji within that server. Also, any user who has a Nitro membership will be able to use the server’s custom emojis elsewhere on Discord where it is possible to use emojis.
Animated Custom Emojis in Discord
If you have Nitro or Nitro Basic, in addition to the 50 static personalized emojis, you will also have an additional 50 spaces available for animated emojis if you purchase either of those plans. There are times when simply typing out “” is not enough to truly describe how hard you are working on your final exam, which, by the way, you are going to ace. Nelly is feeling the pressure, too, thanks to his animated and customized emojis.
Note: The constraints for name and sizing that were discussed earlier also apply to animated versions of custom emojis.
Managing Custom Emojis in Discord
With the emoji picker, your custom emojis will be arranged in reverse alphabetical order, which means that it will group together all of the emotes with names that are similar! They are compatible with text conversations as well as emoji reactions.
Twitch Sub Emotes in Discord
Have you already subscribed to some of your most beloved streamers on Twitch? You are able to use the streamer’s custom emojis anywhere in the world if they have enabled their Twitch emotes for subscribers. In order for this to be successful, you will need to:
- You should link your Discord and Twitch accounts.
- Check that you are up to date on your subscription to their channel.
- Join the server that the streamer has enabled for subs.
