Help! I’m old enough to use Discord in my country but I got locked out.
For legal reasons, we are bound to strictly enforce the age limit we have set for our applicants and, therefore, if you intend to appeal, we will need to request proof of your age from you.
If you are more than the minimum age required in your country and have been prohibited from using the app as a result of an underage report, please follow the instructions below to appeal your case.
What Do We Need To Unlock The Account?
Step 1:
You should take a picture of yourself holding the following items while taking the picture:
- It is necessary to have a photo ID that contains the date of your birth on it
- This is a piece of paper that has your full Discord tag on it (which includes your username as well as the last four digits following your username, for example: Wumpus#1234)
Step 2:
It is important that you take a photo of yourself and submit it to the Trust & Safety team using the following link: https://dis.gd/request and then select “Update my age information” under the Report Type option.
Note: All the necessary information needs to be visible and readable in ONE photo in order to fulfill the requirement. It is necessary for you to send the photo to the email address associated with your Discord account along with the photo
It is only to verify your age that we will be using the information you provide and it will never be used in any other way.
